About The Role

Join Tenstorrent, a company dedicated to building the world's fastest and most efficient AI compute clusters. As a TT-Fabric Software Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining TT-Fabric, our low-level networking library. You will design scalable communication systems, optimize protocols and data movement, and integrate TT-Fabric APIs into the broader programming model. This role offers the opportunity to learn about large-scale AI cluster architecture, custom AI hardware performance, and advanced synchronization techniques. Candidates with a strong foundation in C/C++, systems programming, or low-level bare-metal programming are encouraged to apply.

  • Architect, implement, and maintain TT-Fabric, the low-level networking library for distributed inference and training.
  • Design scalable communication systems to efficiently and reliably coordinate thousands of AI processors.
  • Optimize protocols, synchronization strategies, and data movement to extract maximum hardware performance.
  • We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role
  • Strong foundation in C/C++, systems programming, or low-level bare-metal programming
  • Experience with programming large-scale computer clusters is a plus but not required
  • Interest in networking protocols, synchronization and communication in large clusters of computers, and high-performance interconnects
  • Experience with high-performance networking libraries, RDMA, or MPI is a plus but not required
  • Willingness to think from first principles, consider out-of-the-box solutions, discover where industry norms and current state-of-the-art fall short, and drive to surpass them
  • Passion for the intricacies of low-level programming and optimizing hardware-software interactions at the bare-metal level, where every nanosecond counts
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field
