About The Role

Join Xcimer, a pioneering company in the fusion energy sector. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for critical accounting processes, including accounts payable and general ledger accounting. You will work cross-functionally to support business operations and engage with internal groups and external vendors. Your duties will include day-to-day accounting tasks, assisting with the monthly close process, supporting annual audits and tax preparation, and owning the purchase order, accounts payable, and three-way match process.   • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience: 1 - 3 years of accounting experience with direct exposure to accounting operation duties like AP, FA, GL and cash reconciliations
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and high customer service capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including the ability to work with complex Excel spreadsheets
  • Experience with standard software solutions preferred, for example: QuickBooks Online, ERPs, Ramp, Carta
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative
  • CPA (not required)
  • Aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industry experience
  • Experience supporting high-growth or pre-IPO companies
  • Experience with ERP systems
