Cost Analyst

Join Archer, a growing company in the manufacturing industry, as a Cost Analyst. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in SAP and cost accounting principles to support manufacturing costs. You will develop and maintain cost accounting processes, analyze financial data, and provide insights to optimize costs. Key responsibilities include standard costing, cost updates, variance analysis, cross-functional collaboration, data-driven insights, financial planning, process improvement, period close, inventory analysis, valuation and reconciliation, system efficiency, special projects, audit support, and scalability. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in complex, multi-plant manufacturing operations, and a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Develop, implement, and maintain standard costs in SAP, manage and establish processes for periodic cost updates.
• Establish and manage standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead; track and report variances.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, reporting, and automation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Systems: Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP preferred
• Experience: 3–5+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in complex, multi-plant manufacturing operations
• Time Management: Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CMA preferred
• Communication: Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work with complex datasets within Excel and Google Sheets
