Lead Engineer (Embedded)

Join Archer, a leading company in the aerospace industry, as a Lead Engineer for our AI Product team. In this hands-on technical leadership role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of embedded hardware and software, from design to production. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams and mentor other engineers on the team.

• Lead the end-to-end development of embedded hardware and software, from schematic and mechanical design through firmware and into production.
• Drive designs through DFM/DFT and production readiness, partnering with manufacturing and supply chain.
• Set technical direction for the hardware/firmware stack and mentor other engineers on the team.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools for mechanical/enclosure design
• Has taken at least one embedded system from prototype through production
• Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi and other embedded systems platforms
• Demonstrated PCB design experience (schematic capture, layout, and bring-up)
• Ability to architect and lay out PCBs, including schematic capture, component selection, and bring-up/debug of prototype boards
• Ability to produce 3D CAD models for enclosures, mounts, and mechanical integration of embedded hardware
• Background in aerospace, robotics, or other safety-critical embedded domains
