About The Role
Join Archer, a pioneering company in the electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft industry. As the Manager of BMS Hardware, you will lead the development of our high voltage battery management system (BMS) and charge control unit (CCU). You will build and mentor a team of electrical engineers, guide architectural decisions, and make critical technical decisions balancing performance, safety, schedule, and certification constraints. You will also manage technical engagement with suppliers, partners, and certification authorities, and support the Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams during new product introduction and production ramp.

- 3+ years of demonstrated people management experience
- Experience with high voltage battery systems and BMS electronics
- Track record of developing engineering talent and building collaborative team culture
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience in electrical system design for EV, aerospace, or similar high-reliability applications
- Proven ability to lead teams through ambiguity and competing priorities
- Strong technical communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with certification standards, DO-254, DO-160, AC 20-152A, ARP4754, or ISO 26262
- Experience with new product development in regulated industries (e.g., aviation, medical devices)
- Experience designing for HV battery systems in both aerospace and automotive contexts
- Passion for aviation and eVTOLs
