About The Role
Join Archer, an aerospace company dedicated to advancing sustainable air mobility. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will architect, build, and maintain CI/CD workflows and automated testing pipelines, manage High-Performance Computing infrastructure, and serve as the primary technical bridge between teams. You should have experience with Linux, CI/CD workflows, scripting, modern C/C++, real-time operating systems, MATLAB, Simulink, Hardware-in-the-Loop systems, communication protocols, and Model-Based Design certification standards.
- Architect, build, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows and automated testing pipelines for various engineering groups.
- Support developing and maintaining automated toolchains to generate, compile, and deploy Simulink and MATLAB code across multiple targets.
- Manage the critical software interfaces between the "Virtual Vehicle" (Simulink models) and downstream platforms, including managing Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
- Experience with Linux operating system environment
- Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar platforms
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or MATLAB scripting) for automating build systems and testing pipelines
- Ability to use, understand and leverage modern LLMs and AI based coding tools
- BS/Advanced Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field with at least 8 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in modern C/C++ and experience integrating C/C++ with Simulink
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) like Linux Preempt RT, VxWorks, or QNX
- Direct experience developing or verifying GNC/Vehicle Simulation systems in simulation or on hardware is a major plus!
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink, specifically including auto-code generation tools (Simulink Coder, Embedded Coder)
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems (e.g., Speedgoat,
- DSPACE)
- Knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS-422) and middleware (DDS, ROS2)
- Experience with Model-Based Design (MBD) certification standards like DO-331 or safety-critical software development (DO-178C)
- Experience packaging and containerizing simulation environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
