Senior Backend Software Engineer

Join Archer, a leading company in the aviation industry, as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing backend infrastructure, leading end-to-end technical execution, designing and implementing system architecture, and contributing to the product roadmap. You will work cross-functionally with design, data science, and technical aviation experts, and have the opportunity to implement and productize novel machine learning and deep learning algorithms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, a passion for aviation, and experience with various technologies including Next.JS, Java Script, React, React Native, Python, Fast API, and PostGres.

• Adaptability: Quickly and iteratively respond to needs of customers and turn product changes around on tight timelines
• Technologies: Next.JS, Java Script, React, React Native, Python, Fast API, PostGres
• Design: Ability to create intuitive, clean, and professional products without a dedicated designer or design system
• 4-Year College Degree in an Engineering Discipline (or multiple pieces of evidence of outstanding individual technical achievement)
• Infrastructure: Familiarity with building server-less & micro-service in popular cloud hyperscalers and managing production grade CI/CD pipelines
• Evidence of End-End Product Ownership: Experience building all parts of software from front-end to back-end to cloud deployment
• Personal Projects: Rich Github history with examples of personal projects that can be shared with the hiring team and/or open-source contributions
• AI: Strong understanding of how to implement and train AI systems into SaaS products and willingness to learn and adapt to building voice agent
• Minimum of 5 Years of Post-College Work or Entrepreneurial Experience
• Strong passion for aviation and/or UAM
• Infrastructure experience: k8s, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda, Datadock, Docker, and Temporal Orchestration Service
• Willingness and ability to transition between mobile and web development
