About The Role

Join ZipRecruiter as the Director of Product Management, where you will lead the strategy and execution for growing our job seeker base. You will drive user acquisition, create an amazing job discovery user experience, and manage a team of product managers. Your responsibilities will include owning job seeker acquisition strategies, the product roadmap for search and discovery experiences, and championing AI-driven development. You will also coordinate marketplace fit and take full accountability for your product domain.

  • Drive user acquisition and create an amazing job discovery user experience by owning all job seeker acquisition strategies and user experiences.
  • Lead the vision and execution for core job seeker products across web and mobile discovery interfaces, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build personalized, AI-driven features.
  • Manage and grow a high-performing team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of ownership and excellence while taking full accountability for your product domain.
  • Proven Leadership: 3+ years of experience managing a team of at least 2 product managers, with a track record of developing talent
  • Deeply Analytical: You are a data-obsessed problem solver who doesn't just look at dashboards but interrogates the "why" behind the numbers
  • Self-Motivation: You are highly driven and thrive in an environment where you are given the autonomy to drive massive impact
  • AI/ML Fluency: You aren’t just a fan of AI; you understand how to leverage Machine Learning to solve user problems and have experience building AI-powered product features
  • Strategic Versatility: You are a "smart generalist" who can be thrown at any complex problem—whether it’s a technical architectural hurdle or a brand-new market opportunity—and figure it out
  • B2C Expertise: Deep experience building consumer-facing products at scale, with a strong intuition for user behavior and growth loops
  • Player-Coach Mentality: You are comfortable presenting to the C-suite one hour and diving into prototypes or data dashboards the next
  • Search & Personalization Expertise: Prior experience building, scaling, or optimizing consumer search engines, information retrieval systems, or recommendation loops
  • B2C Growth Specialization: Specific experience in performance marketing, SEO, or viral loops for seeker acquisition
  • Marketplace Experience: Previous experience at a two-sided marketplace (e.g., jobs, real estate, rideshare)
