Senior Software Engineer (Storage)

Join Reddit as a Staff Software Engineer (Storage) and play a key role in building and evolving our large-scale storage infrastructure. This position combines software engineering and systems engineering, with a focus on improving control and data planes, enhancing underlying systems, and automating critical workflows. You will work closely with product teams to optimize storage technologies for Reddit's main workloads and engage with the open-source community. Additionally, you will mentor and guide other engineers in designing and building vector storage services across Reddit.

• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages; Golang, Python, C++, Java
• Hands-on experience implementing features, optimizations, and bug fixes to distributed storage systems
• Experience contributing code improvements, features and bug fixes to open-source (OSS) projects
• 7+ years of experience building internet-scale software, preferably with a focus on machine learning storage infrastructure
