About The Role

Your responsibilities will include designing and integrating core telecommunications systems, owning the software lifecycle, maintaining high coding standards, and enabling scalability. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate core telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring secure cellular service and end-to-end data integrity.
- Take full ownership of the software lifecycle for foundational components of the telecommunications stack, from problem discovery to solution delivery.
- Maintain high coding standards by developing guidelines, participating actively in code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

- Empathy: The ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teammates, understanding how technical decisions impact the end user
- Fluency in a modern backend language such as Golang, Rust, Java/Kotlin, or Python
- Clearance: Active US Security clearance or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one is beneficial, but not required
- Pragmatism: The ability to move quickly while building for the long term. You take a thoughtful, practical approach to solving complex problems, considering tradeoffs and avoiding over-engineering
- Collaboration: Experience brainstorming and iterating alongside product managers and designers
- Mission-Driven: A deep-seated belief in the importance of digital privacy and security. You understand that the code we ship has real-world consequences and are driven to build systems that protect and empower users
- Autonomy: A proven ability to learn continuously, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Adaptability: Comfort working in a constantly evolving environment with dynamic objectives and direct user iteration
- A firm grasp of algorithms, data structures, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to iterate quickly with teammates, incorporate feedback, and hold a high bar for quality
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
- A strong foundation in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, demonstrated through both professional experience and academic pursuits
