Visual Designer (Contract)

Join Cape as a Visual Designer on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for driving well-crafted design work across brand, web, and visual design. You will work independently, set a high creative bar, and bring strong craft and judgment to everything Cape puts into the world. Your responsibilities will include owning visual design work across a range of media, partnering with the marketing team, shaping and upholding Cape's brand and creative guidelines, leading the development of presentation decks and marketing materials, maintaining clear communication with internal teams, and developing event collateral and design concepts as needed.

• Possess a strong understanding of design principles and the ability to create visually appealing designs across various media.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute visual assets that align with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
• Lead the development of presentation decks, marketing ads, landing pages, and supporting materials, ensuring high-quality design and execution.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Familiarity with illustration, motion graphics, and animation is a plus
• Ability to work independently, own projects end-to-end, and drive work with minimal direction
• Excellent aesthetic judgment and a clear command of visual design principles
• A demonstrable portfolio showcasing strong visual and brand design work
• Comfort using AI tools to move quickly and increase output without sacrificing craft
• 3–5 years of professional visual design experience, with an emphasis on brand and web
