Technical Program Manager (Fraud Program)

Join Remitly, a leading digital remittance company, as a Technical Program Manager for our Fraud Program. In this strategic role, you will lead high-impact programs to reduce fraud-related losses and improve our ability to prevent and detect malicious activity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and report to the Senior Manager of Fraud Program Management. This is a hybrid role based in our New Westminster, Canada office.

• Lead cross-functional programs that improve fraud prevention across products, platforms, and geographies.
• Translate fraud trends into technical and product requirements, partnering with engineering and analytics teams.
• Perform fraud risk assessments for new products and geographic expansions, driving the delivery of business requirements from discovery through implementation and maintenance.

• Prior experience in payments, fintech, remittances, or money movement is a plus
• Bachelor's degree, financial crimes related certifications (CFE, CFCS, etc.) or equivalent experience
• Basic SQL experience
• Experience building fraud controls from the ground up for new/changing products
• 5+ years of experience in program management, ideally within a fraud, trust & safety, or risk context
• Experience utilizing AI solutions to scale your impact
• Familiarity with fraud detection systems, rule engines, and models
• Occasionally, you will be asked to provide your support during non-business hours when we are experiencing an acute attack. This role is exempt from overtime pay
• Strong technical fluency; ability to engage with engineers and analysts on system behavior and product architecture
• Proficient in Excel and Google Workspace
