Software Development Engineer in Test

Join Turion Space as a Software Development Engineer in Test. In this role, you will design and develop the Flight Software testing framework, tools, strategy, and procedures. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure flight software meets performance, reliability, and mission-specific requirements. Additionally, you will develop and maintain a testing framework for automated testing of spacecraft software, create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. • Design and develop Turion’s Flight Software testing framework/tools, strategy, and procedures.
• Engage with flight software developers and operators to support qualifying software for flight, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Develop and maintain a testing framework for automated testing of spacecraft software in HITL and SITL environments.
• Prior Aerospace experience not required. Looking for impassioned software engineers who want to solve hard problems
• Experience writing automated software tests which also interact with external hardware components in HITL/SITL environments
• Experience developing modular and reusable software applications. C/C++ proficiency mandatory
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve software and hardware issues effectively with little to no supervision
• 2+ years of experience in software development and test
• 4+ years of experience in flight software development and test
• Familiarity and Experience with the following:
• Software testing tools and frameworks such as Google Test, CppUnit, Pytest, etc
• Different testing techniques such as performance, regression, integration, unit, and load testing
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) for embedded software
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed to reach critical delivery deadlines
