About The Role

Join Okta's Brand and Creative team as a Senior Media Designer. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the visual voice of Okta across various social media platforms. You will design content that engages and resonates with our audience, which consists of senior, technical, and skeptical leaders in security and identity. Your work will involve translating complex stories into visually compelling ideas, evolving the brand expression for social, and staying ahead of platform changes and trends.

  • Lead the design and creative direction for Okta's organic social channels, from concept to published asset, across various formats.
  • Translate complex identity and security stories into visually compelling ideas that earn attention, engagement, and shares, particularly in relation to "Okta Secures AI."
  • Build and evolve recurring creative formats to quickly translate business initiatives into channel-native content, while testing new formats and ideas to raise the bar over time.
  • Expert command of feed-native design and platform best practices, including YouTube
  • A standout portfolio of social-first work that stopped the scroll, drove engagement, and stayed on brand
  • Motion and video design experience is a strong plus
  • Ability to work fast, iterate, and thrive in a high-trust environment where there is always a new post tomorrow
  • Expert proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • B2B or technology experience is a plus
  • Senior-level experience designing for social channels, ideally in-house at a brand or in a social-native environment, with a track record of leading work independently
  • A proven ability to design for engagement and sharing, and to make technical or abstract subject matter genuinely interesting
  • A test-and-learn mindset: comfortable experimenting, reading engagement data, and using what you learn to sharpen the work
  • Strong cultural instinct and the judgment to know how far to take it
