Business & Corporate Development Associate

Join Samba TV as a Business & Corporate Development Associate, where you'll support corporate development activities, including M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior leadership and develop expertise in deal execution and financial analysis. Ideal candidates will have 3-4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or management consulting, with strong financial modeling skills and an interest in the media and technology sectors.

• Support the evaluation and execution of potential acquisition targets and strategic investment opportunities across the media, technology, and data analytics sectors.
• Conduct preliminary financial analysis and due diligence on target companies, including review of confidential information memorandums (CIMs), management presentations, and financial statements.
• Assist in the management of buy side and sell-side processes, including prioritization of buy side prospects, preparation of materials for team reviews and discussions, coordination with advisors.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Experience reviewing and analyzing financial statements, key performance metrics, and business models, ideally including international deals and transactions
• Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus but not required
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex financial and business information and communicate findings clearly and concisely to senior leadership
• Experience using tools like PitchBook, Capital IQ, or Crunchbase for market intelligence and transaction research
• 3-4 years of experience in investment banking (M&A or TMT coverage preferred), corporate development, private equity, venture capital, or top-tier management consulting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience creating executive-level presentations
• Interest in or knowledge of the media, entertainment, advertising technology, or data analytics industries preferred
• Advanced financial modeling skills with proficiency in Excel and experience building discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses
• Willingness to travel as needed for due diligence and deal execution
