Local Advertising Account Executive

Join Axios, a media company dedicated to delivering trustworthy news in an audience-first format. As a Local Market Builder, you will be responsible for building Axios' local advertising business from the ground up. This role requires a highly entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationships with local advertisers, and a deep understanding of community dynamics. You will build and own a book of business, prospect and close new local advertisers, and serve as the Axios brand ambassador in your market.

• 5–8+ years in sales, digital media, advertising, or related field
• Proven ability to build and monetize a book of business
• Be deeply connected in your market and know how to turn relationships into revenue
• Strong relationships with local advertisers, agencies, or business leaders in your market
• Demonstrated success in closing new business and generating revenue from personal network
• Highly networked in your local market
• Comfortable with ambiguity and longer ramp periods
• Entrepreneurial and self-starting — comfortable building from zero
• Strong hunter mentality with a bias toward action
• Deep curiosity about local businesses and community dynamics
• Excellent communicator and relationship builder
