M&A + Strategy Associate

Join Fuse, a fully integrated energy company, as an M&A + Strategy Associate. In this role, you will own acquisitions end to end, drive strategic projects, and work directly with leadership on key decisions. You will be responsible for sourcing and screening targets, valuation, diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closing deals. Additionally, you will shape the company's future by determining which markets and business lines to enter, build, or buy. This position is ideal for a strong analyst, associate, or consultant looking to transition from advising to building.

• Owning acquisitions end to end, from sourcing and screening targets through valuation, diligence, structuring and negotiation to close.
• Shaping where Fuse goes next by working out which markets and business lines to enter, build, or buy and what it takes to win there.
• Driving execution and delivery by running the workstreams, advisors, data rooms and timelines so deals and projects actually close.
• Strong commercial judgement and the communication skills to make a case to leadership
• An independent operator who can parachute into an ambiguous problem and drive it to an answer and an outcome
• 2 to 5 years in M&A, investing (PE, VC or infrastructure), corporate development or a similarly high-intensity analytical seat
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and structured problem-solving skills
• Relentless, detail-oriented and highly operational, moving fast from strategy to implementation
• Strong quantitative or STEM background
• Energy, infrastructure or renewables sector experience
• Exposure to new-market entry or new business line build-out
• Direct experience leading or supporting acquisitions from origination through close
