About The Role

Join Fuse Energy, a next-generation energy company, as a Senior/Lead Backend Engineer. In this role, you will build the core digital infrastructure, including a real-time digital twin of renewable generation and customer demand, messaging interfaces with third-party providers, and high-volume pipelines for processing customer energy consumption. Collaborate with product teams to design and implement the core digital infrastructure for a next-generation energy company.
Engineer backend infrastructure to construct a real-time digital twin of renewable generation and customer demand, and develop messaging interfaces with third-party providers.
Take ownership of projects and drive change by defining and building complex systems, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.
For this role, you should be able to think on your feet and adapt to new business needs as well as take ownership of projects and drive change
Demonstrable excellence as a Software Engineer
Proven ability to define and build complex systems
Experience in the Energy sector
Experience shipping consumer-facing products
Ideally 2+ years experience
Hands-on experience operating highly-available production systems
Clear communication
Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. AWS CDK)
