About The Role

Join xAI, a cutting-edge AI infrastructure company, as a Member of Technical Staff (Real-Time Storage). In this role, you will design, build, and launch new features and improvements for xAI's storage tier, which powers training, inference, recommendations, and real-time data extraction. You will also dive into performance issues, lead incident responses, and mentor your peers. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of software development experience, with 2+ years building storage systems or databases, and proficiency in high-performance C++, Rust, or JVM-based languages.

Design, build, and launch new features and improvements for storage systems.
Dive into performance issues and work with customers to deliver solutions.
Lead and drive incident responses and recovery, and contribute to incident postmortems.
Obsessed with reliability, performance, and quality
Have at least 7 years of experience in software development, plus 2+ years building storage systems or databases
Proficient in high performance C++, Rust, or JVM-based languages
Expertise in building, running, and operating scalable and resilient distributed systems
