Director of Accounting

Join Offchain, a fast-growing company in the blockchain space, as the Director of Accounting. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Finance to build out the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and implementing financial operating procedures. You will lead the monthly close process, drive opportunities for process improvements and automation, and oversee payroll, accounts payable, expense reimbursements, and accounts receivable. This position is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of US GAAP, experience with accounting systems and integrations, and a mindset focused on automation, documentation, and continuous improvement.

• Lead the monthly close process, prepare and analyze financial statements, and drive opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Ensure consistent implementation of accounting principles and procedures in compliance with US GAAP, and develop, implement and enforce financial controls and policies.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable, expense reimbursements, and accounts receivable, and own digital asset reporting and reconciliations.
• 10+ years experience with prior experience at top tier public accounting firm

• CPA license holder
• 2+ years of recent experience at a crypto company or crypto native. If you do not have professional experience, please share the ecosystem within crypto that you are excited about and why, in your resume or in a short cover memo
• Experience with multi-entity operations
• Experience or familiarity with digital asset accounting is highly preferred
• Prior experience leading a financial audit in partnership with external auditors
• Excited to roll up your sleeves and comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment, executing on multiple projects at any given time
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized and tactical
• Strong proficiency in accounting software, financial planning tools and microsoft excel
• Great communicator with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to think strategically about department building and rolling out new processes
