Senior Software Engineer (Onboarding)

Join Justworks as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in transforming the onboarding process into a fully self-serve experience. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to design and build new features and functionality, primarily focusing on backend systems. You will take ownership of designing and implementing APIs, systems integrations, and backend services, while promoting engineering excellence through technical leadership and mentorship.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and functionality, focusing on backend systems.
• Take ownership of designing and implementing APIs, systems integrations, and backend services, ensuring engineering excellence.
• Promote best practices in observability and monitoring, and ensure the security and compartmentalization of sensitive data.
• Experience in a high-growth environment working with deadlines and milestones
• Strong object-oriented design and coding skills
• Minimum of 6 years of professional hands-on experience
• Experience supporting other engineers and acting as a “tech lead”
• Expertise in backend systems
• Experience using Agile/Scrum methodology in a fast-paced environment
• Experience modeling complex real-world problems with robust data models and systems
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
