Software Engineer (Data)

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to production support and continuous enhancement.
• Design and develop scalable applications for data platforms, maintain and support critical data services, and optimize data access.
• Integrate and manage third-party data sources and feeds, ensure data security in accordance with internal policies and procedures, and build GUI tools to help visualize data.
• Ability and openness to participate in operational/on-call rotations
• Experience with modern software development practices, including code reviews, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong understanding of developing and troubleshooting applications in Linux environments
• Strong proficiency in C, C++, or other compiled language
• Familiarity with using AI-assisted development tools and agentic coding workflows
• Experience working with data-intensive systems or large datasets
• Knowledge of the FIX protocol
• Understanding of financial markets or trading systems experience
• Exposure to working with an order management system
• Experience in Python is beneficial
• Experience with KDB+/Q in a production environment (or openness to learn)
