About The Role
Join Cribl as a Manager of Software Engineering for the Search Discovery team. In this role, you will lead and grow a senior team of engineers, partner closely with Product, drive the team's delivery rhythm, shape technical direction, mentor and develop engineers, and act as a storyteller for the team. - Lead and grow a senior team of engineers building Cribl's dashboards, notebooks, visualizations, investigations, and analytical discovery capabilities.
- Partner closely with Product to translate vision into execution -- surfacing ideas, shaping direction, and communicating the "why" to your team with clarity and energy.
- Drive the team's delivery rhythm across dashboards, notebooks, visualizations, scheduled searches, AI-assisted workflows, and performance improvements that directly shape how customers interact with Cribl Search.
- We're looking for an Engineering Manager who's as excited about analytical tooling and user experience as they are about building high-performing teams
- Strong PM partnership skills -- comfortable co-creating roadmaps, translating product vision, and navigating ambiguity
- Comfort with fast-paced environments where priorities shift and the team is central to the product's identity
- 7+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years managing a team focused on user-facing product development
- Experience leading senior/staff-level engineers who operate with high autonomy
- Background in search, observability, analytics, or data visualization platforms
