Engineering Manager (FDE Infrastructure NORAM)

Join Cohere as an Engineering Manager to lead our Deployment Engineering team. This role requires a hands-on leader who will drive the end-to-end deployment of our North platform into customer environments. You will manage a team of Forward Deployed Engineers, collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales, and optimize performance for various services. • Lead and mentor a team of Forward Deployed Engineers, driving end-to-end deployment of the North platform in private cloud and on-premises environments.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to shape how AI is delivered to enterprises, taking ownership of customer success from technical implementation through delivery.
• Build processes and technology that scale, optimizing performance for OpenSearch, databases, and other Kubernetes services.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with demonstrated leadership
• Hands-on experience deploying enterprise software at scale
• Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience managing engineers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• A doer mentality — you dig in and get stuff done
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines
• High agency — you don't wait for permission to solve problems
• Fluency in additional European languages
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure
• Background in enterprise security and compliance
