Manager of Security

Join our organization as the Security Manager, where you will lead the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of our cybersecurity program. You will play a hands-on role in protecting our digital assets, information, and systems against an evolving threat landscape. You will work closely with IT, engineering, compliance, and business unit stakeholders to translate security strategy into operational reality. Additionally, you will manage security operations, risk management, policy implementation, and incident response, while also leading and developing a team of security analysts/engineers.

• Manage day-to-day security operations, ensuring policies and strategies set by senior leadership are implemented effectively across teams and systems.
• Identify, assess, and track cyber risks; recommend and implement mitigations through technology, process, and policy changes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of security analysts/engineers; manage workload, performance, and skill development.
• Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and developing a security team
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ethical Judgment: Commitment to high standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional conduct
• Technical Expertise: Solid working knowledge of security technologies (firewalls, SIEM, IAM, endpoint protection), cloud security, and threat intelligence. Familiarity with AI security/monitoring tools (e.g., Harmonic, Weave, or similar platforms) strongly preferred
• Professional Certifications: CISSP, CISM, Security+, GIAC, or other relevant certifications preferred
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving tools and threats
• Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or information security, including at least 2 years in a team lead or management capacity
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
• AI Risk Awareness: Understanding of risks associated with generative AI and AI tool adoption (data leakage, shadow AI, model misuse) and how to mitigate them operationally
• Compliance Knowledge: Working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards
• Risk Management: Experience executing risk assessments and mitigation plans at the team/operational level
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field required
• Problem Solving: Resourceful, hands-on approach to resolving security issues
