Senior Backend Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Backend Engineer in Paris. You will be responsible for developing high-quality software design and architecture, executing tasks in the software development life cycle, and collaborating with internal teams and vendors. You should have 5+ years of experience in software and data engineering, expert-level proficiency in Python, and strong experience in software engineering projects. Bonus skills include experience in a cloud-native environment and familiarity with large-scale distributed compute/storage tools.

• Développer des conceptions et architectures logicielles de haute qualité, en produisant un code propre et efficace.
• Identifier, prioriser et exécuter les tâches dans le cycle de vie du développement logiciel, en automatisant les tâches appropriées.
• Collaborer avec les équipes internes et les fournisseurs pour corriger et améliorer les produits, en documentant les phases de développement.

**REQUIREMENTS**

• 5+ years of experience in the field of software and data engineering
• Expert-level proficiency in Python (FastAPI)
• Deep hands-on experience running and optimizing Postgres and Kafka in production
• Strong experience in software engineering projects with emphasis on impactful outcomes and engaging internal or external client collaborations and satisfaction
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences
• You value code simplicity and performance. You are detail-oriented and enjoy working with other engineers to solve problems.
• Fluency in English (both verbal and written); proficiency in French or other languages is a plus.***Bonus Skills***

• You are familiar with running large scale distributed compute/storage tools in production, (Kubernetes, Postgres, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis).
