Senior Software Engineer (Site Reliability Engineering)

Join Snapsheet as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) and play a critical role in ensuring our technology is reliable, scalable, and efficient. This hands-on role involves both infrastructure management and software development, focusing on automating processes, optimizing systems, and enabling seamless scalability. You will work directly with developers to identify and implement improvements in the development lifecycle and deployment process, and contribute across multiple development teams.

• Automate processes, optimize systems, and enable seamless scalability while balancing short-term solutions with long-term strategy.
• Build, maintain, and support core applications, and operate the core internal observability platform.
• Partner with the rest of the SRE team and service engineering teams to ensure smooth, continued delivery of our service to clients.

• Our SREs bring the expertise of a software engineer, combined with deep knowledge of deployment, provisioning, and automation technologies to drive operational excellence

• 5+ years as a full-stack software engineer
• Managing and scaling infrastructure on AWS
• Backend development using Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks
• Deep understanding of web technologies (HTTP, cookies, caching, ES6, HTML5, Progressive Web Apps, etc.)
• CI/CD frameworks (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, etc)
• Designing and building developer tooling
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with the following:
• Experience building and maintaining scalable, resilient services
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with a strong preference for Ruby on Rails and Typescript
• Tooling, automation, and system monitoring for performance optimization
• Strong experience with infrastructure as code tools
• Expertise in serverless infrastructure
• Experience with github actions and/or CircleCI
