Corporate Securities Counsel

Join Rent the Runway as Corporate and Securities Counsel, where you will play a key role in supporting the company's securities and corporate governance matters. You will work collaboratively with the legal team and report to the Chief Legal & Administrative Officer. Your responsibilities will include overseeing public company reporting processes, advising on corporate governance topics, reviewing external communications, and managing outside counsel. • 3+ years of relevant public company experience
• Systemic and process-driven thinker who is excited about scaling RTR’s Legal services
• Strong ability in Excel and Google Suite
• Experience with Diligent, Workiva and Shareworks is a plus
• M&A and corporate finance experience is a plus
• An ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization in a fast-paced environment while building strong relationships and influence across departments
• JD and NY bar membership or registration as an in-house attorney in NY
• Executive compensation experience is a plus
• An ability to prioritize and manage multiple critical projects under tight deadlines
• A highly collaborative approach, while also exercising sound judgment as a subject matter expert
• The ability to translate legal issues into clear, “plain English” guidance and business solutions for non-lawyers
