About The Role
Join DroneDeploy as a Business Development Representative (BDR) and play a crucial role in driving our sales pipeline. You will be the key connector between marketing demand generation and sales, ensuring a seamless experience for prospects and internal teams. Your primary focus will be on timely follow-up with inbound leads, conducting initial discovery calls, and providing actionable feedback to the Demand Gen team. This is an excellent entry-level role for high-aptitude communicators with 6-12 months of experience in a BDR/SDR role or relevant industry experience.
- Prioritize and execute immediate follow-up with inbound leads from marketing campaigns, demo requests, and webinars through multi-channel outreach.
- Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospect needs and qualify them against our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
- Ensure a "white-glove" transition of qualified prospects to the Sales team and provide actionable feedback to the Demand Gen team on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills: Ability to actively listen to identify a prospect’s true pain point during a discovery call, handle objections, and educate prospects in a consultative manner
- Product Fluency: Ability to quickly learn the DroneDeploy platform to answer technical "how-to" questions during initial qualification
- Intellectually curious and eager to bring your unique approach to the BDR role
- 6–12 months in a BDR/SDR role or relevant industry experience (AEC). This is an excellent entry-level role for high-aptitude communicators
- Tech Stack: Proficiency with Salesforce (or similar CRM) and meeting scheduling tools (e.g., Calendly, Chili Piper),Gong, LinkedIn/Sales Navigator, Orum, and Zoominfo
- Self-aware, coachable, and able to implement feedback in real time to overcome challenges

- Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management; you must be able to juggle a high-volume lead queue and follow-up tasks without letting prospects slip through the cracks
- Comfortable in a cold call–heavy environment and using power dialers
