Data Engineer

Join Haddock, a rapidly growing AI company, as a Data Engineer. In this greenfield opportunity, you will design and build the data foundation that will power the company's next phase of growth. You will be responsible for creating the full data architecture, building robust pipelines, ensuring data quality, and powering AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and Python skills, experience with cloud data warehouses, and a product mindset.

• Design and build the data architecture from raw ingestion to clean, modeled data ready for AI and analytics.
• Develop robust pipelines to ingest data from various systems, ensuring data quality and observability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to model core data entities and build dashboards that meet their needs.
• 👉 Fluent in Spanish and comfortable in English
• 👉 Strong SQL and Python. Solid hands-on experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses
• 👉 You've built a data warehouse or data platform from scratch, or led a migration of one at scale
• 👉 Product mindset: you understand business context, talk to stakeholders, and care about outcomes not just clean code
• 👉 You're AI-native: you use AI tools daily, stay current with new models and techniques, and apply them to move faster and build better
• 👉 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, ideally in a startup or scale-up. We'll consider exceptional candidates with less experience but a proven track record of owning data infrastructure end-to-end, not just contributing to it
• SaaS companies with multi-team data needs
• Orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster
• Dbt, ideally a project with 50+ models in production
• Data quality frameworks and observability tooling
• Event streaming with Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar
• Working with AI/LLM traces and usage data
