Product Manager (Schemas)

Join Benchling, a leading life sciences R&D platform, as a Product Manager for our Schemas team. In this role, you will own the foundation of our product, engage with customers and internal teams, set the vision for Schemas, and collaborate closely with Engineering and Design. You will have the opportunity to empower scientists and computational teams to turn their data into an AI-ready structured data foundation for the entire R&D lifecycle.

• Lead product management for the Schemas team, setting the vision and direction for the platform primitives.
• Engage with customers and internal teams to understand their problems and use cases, and translate those into product requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Design to develop new product capabilities, ensuring well-crafted products are shipped at a timely pace.
• Ability to think in systems. Understanding what a customer wants and how that might impact various aspects of our product is essential
• Past experience working with data modeling or databases required
• Experience with providing technical solutions to internal developers and external customers
• Experience in B2B SaaS or Developer Platform industries preferred
• Demonstrated experience setting direction and influencing stakeholders
• A strong curiosity around the science processes that power the R&D lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to have a long term vision and ship incrementally along the way
• 6+ years of product management experience
• Demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts to customers and executive leadership
