Staff Platform Engineer (Platform Integrations)

Join MeridianLink as a Staff Platform Engineer for Platform Integrations. In this senior individual contributor role, you will be the primary technical authority on integrations that connect our products to one another and to external systems. You will own integration architecture, API design, and the patterns and standards that engineering teams build against. This role requires deep technical expertise in integration and API systems, as well as the ability to operate across teams and drive architectural decisions without formal authority.

• Proven ability to make and defend architecture decisions at scale
• Experience with API gateway technologies and API lifecycle management, including versioning, contracts, and deprecation
• Active daily use of AI-assisted development tools
• Demonstrated experience designing and building production-grade integration systems: RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, or enterprise messaging patterns
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrated technical leadership across multiple teams or product areas
• Experience deploying and operating integration workloads on cloud platforms, AWS strongly preferred
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language used in integration and platform contexts (Java, Python, C#, or similar)
• Experience with enterprise integration patterns and frameworks at scale across multiple engineering teams
• Prior work in a multi-product fintech or financial services environment where integration complexity spans regulatory boundaries
• Experience establishing integration standards or governance processes across multiple engineering teams
• Experience with API management platforms and governance tooling
• Familiarity with event streaming platforms and asynchronous processing patterns
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
