Associate IT Technician (IT Technician)

Join Saronic as an Associate IT Technician, where you'll provide essential IT support, set up and deploy equipment, and assist with ongoing projects. Ideal candidates will have a strong customer service mindset and an interest in developing a career in IT.

• Provide basic IT support, including setting up and deploying IT equipment, and assisting with user access-based incidents and requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve or escalate technical issues related to hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
• Document and track support tickets using a helpdesk management system, ensuring resolutions are well-documented, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging IT trends.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with Windows and macOS operating systems
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and a strong ability to prioritize tasks
• Previous role with customer service experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Occasional standing and walking within the office
• Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
• Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
• Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) or military industry projects
• Knowledge of autonomous systems or maritime technology
• Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
