About The Role

Join Saronic as the Director of Integrated Business Tools, where you will lead the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of custom applications built on Palantir Foundry. You will collaborate with department heads across various functions, establish engineering standards, and drive integrations to create a unified data and operational experience. This role requires a strong background in software development, experience with Palantir Foundry, and the ability to balance tactical execution with long-term platform strategy.

  • Own the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of custom applications and capabilities built on Palantir Foundry to power core business functions.
  • Build relationships with department heads across various groups to understand evolving business needs and translate them into Foundry-based tools.
  • Define and own the long-term roadmap for the suite of applications, workflows, and data integrations built on Palantir Foundry across core business groups.
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams of engineers, developers, or system administrators
  • 5+ years of experience building business applications, data platforms, or enterprise tooling, including hands-on experience delivering capabilities on Palantir Foundry
  • Demonstrated ability to balance tactical execution with long-term platform strategy
  • Familiarity with government contracting environments and compliance requirements (CMMC, ITAR, export control)
  • Able to work non-standard hours in support of urgent projects, software releases or in support of international team needs
  • Strong executive communication skills — able to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and business priorities for technical teams
  • Hands-on experience developing on Palantir Foundry, or with Palantir Gotham/Apollo, in a production environment
  • Experience setting software engineering standards, evaluating when to build custom capabilities on Foundry versus buy off-the-shelf, and managing vendor relationships
  • Background in system integration patterns (APIs, ETL, iPaaS) and workflow automation
  • Experience supporting a scaling defense, aerospace, or hardware manufacturing company
  • Proven track record delivering complex, multi-system implementations in a fast-scaling environment
  • Deep familiarity with Palantir Foundry — Ontology, data pipelines, Workshop/application building, and integrating source systems (ERP, HRIS, CRM, financial systems) into the platform
  • Limited travel with advanced notice up to 25% of working time
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
  • Occasional standing and walking within the office
  • Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
  • Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
