About The Role

Join our fast-paced defense technology company as an Information Technology Intern for Fall 2026. This hands-on internship will allow you to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting and contribute to the systems and infrastructure that keep our company running. You will provide support for hardware, software, and network issues, perform routine system maintenance, document and track support tickets, and collaborate with senior IT staff on complex technical projects. This internship is ideal for students pursuing a degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, or a related field.

  • Support the tools and systems managed by IT Operations, including hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions, and perform routine system maintenance.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on complex technical projects, migrations, and system upgrades, and ensure adherence to security best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • Excellent communication with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • This role requires full-time in office presence (40 hours/week) based at our headquarters in Austin, TX, from August through December
  • Exposure to scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) is a plus
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and an ability to prioritize tasks
  • Familiarity with networking concepts: DNS, DHCP, VPN, ethernet, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting is a plus
  • Basic ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, with comfort in at least one operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux)
  • Familiarity with helpdesk or ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk) is a plus
  • A great customer experience mindset
  • Familiarity with identity and directory services (Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta) is a plus
  • Exposure to security best practices, including data protection and access control
  • Exposure to endpoint or device management (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf, SCCM) is a plus
  • Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
  • Occasional standing and walking within the office
  • Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
  • If this role is based in the United States, it requires access to export-controlled information or items that require “U.S. Person” status.
