Software Engineer III, Observability

As a Software Engineer III in the Observability Engineering team, you will architect and engineer a mission-critical observability platform that enables reliable operations across Box's globally distributed services. You will work in a mature, resilient, and secure operating environment, and help evolve and transform the environment for the future.

• Design, build, and evolve the telemetry platform and instrumentation standards for reliable operations across Box’s globally distributed services.
• Partner with service teams to implement effective observability across logs, metrics, traces, alerts, and SLOs, ensuring telemetry is actionable and tied to clear service ownership.
• Make sound engineering tradeoffs around telemetry cardinality, sampling, retention, and cost to deliver scalable, high-signal observability.
