Senior Financial Accountant

Join SUEZ, a global leader in water and waste management. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will take ownership of core financial processes, partner closely with Operations and department leaders, and champion better processes and automation opportunities. You will need at least 8+ years of financial accounting experience and a strong knowledge of AASB/IFRS. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 3 days in the office.

• Ownership of core financial processes including general ledger management, journal preparation, and monthly trial balance reviews.
• Building relationships with Operations and department leaders to deliver meaningful financial support and contribute to forecasting and budgeting cycles.
• Leading the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, supporting statutory and management reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls.

You are tertiary qualified in Accounting Finance or Commerce and have completed your CA/CPA. You have at least 8+ years Financial Accounting experience with sound exposure to corporate/project accounting and are proficient with ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, or Netsuite etc). Intermediate to advanced excel skills are a must and you have navigated ASX listed or global multinational businesses. You have sound knowledge of AASB/IFRS, reconciliations, and GST/Bas and FBT fundamentals.

With strong attention to detail, you operate with a continuous improvement mindset and take ownership of tasks. Your experience can demonstrate an ability to lead through influence, you have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are a natural builder of relationships.

The position will be employed under a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 3 days expected in our head office based in Rhodes.
