About The Role

Join Velo3D as a Senior Applications Engineer, where you will work directly with external customers and internal engineering teams to develop innovative projects for additively manufactured production hardware. You will support sales in finding and developing business cases, prepare and optimize files for printing, design and analyze complex geometries, and ensure customer production success through training and education. This role requires CAD expertise, experience in metal additive manufacturing, and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Collaborate with external customers and internal engineering teams to develop innovative projects for additively manufactured production hardware.
Prepare and optimize files for printing using Velo3D’s Flow software, ensuring a full understanding of engineering requirements.
Support sales in finding and developing business cases that exploit advanced technology, and ensure customer production success through training and education.
CAD expertise (Solidworks, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.)
Metal additive manufacturing design, manufacturing, or production
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Material Science or related field
Customer facing engineering roles
Dealt with critical or regulated industries like aerospace, defense, semiconductor, etc
Hands on experience with machine tools: CNC machining, semiconductor, additive manufacturing, heavy lab, or other related equipment
3-4 years of experience
