About The Role
Join Freeform, a cutting-edge 3D printing company, as a Full Stack Enterprise Software Engineer. In this role, you will design and build the core platform that connects every part of the business, from quoting to production to delivery. You will lead architecture and implementation, make foundational technical decisions, and work closely with engineers across disciplines to solve complex problems. - Design and build the core platform that runs Freeform’s factories and connects every part of the business, from quoting to production to delivery.
- Lead architecture and implementation, make foundational technical decisions, and work closely with engineers across disciplines to solve real, complex problems with your code.
- Develop applications to track the end-to-end lifecycle of millions of parts across thousands of customers around the world, ensuring scalability and resilience.
- 3D printing experience is not required to be successful here - rather we look for smart, motivated, collaborative engineers who love solving hard problems and creating amazing technology!
- Experience writing applications which interact with SQL databases and non-relational databases
- Experience with frontend web frameworks such as React or Next.js
- Experience with backend web frameworks such as Flask or Django
- 3+ years of professional experience in modern software development languages or significant project/intern experience
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science or computer engineering
- Experience interfacing with microcontrollers, FPGA, or GPU computing hardware
- Familiarity with coding agents (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development workflows
- Experience developing embedded or real-time software systems
- Experience writing software for industrial automation systems, rockets, spacecrafts, robotics, or related hardware that operates with the physical world
- Strong communicator who collaborates across disciplines and proactively seeks support when needed
- Experience working in a Linux or RTOS environment
- Willing to take ownership of tasks big and small, with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and iterating quickly (comfortable building the plane as we fly it)
- Strong work ethic with a refuse-to-fail mindset
- Demonstrated indicators of excellence and/or achieving success against adversity (i.e. top academic performance, leadership in engineering clubs, first-generation college student, or other examples of resilience and achievement)
