Mid or Senior Frontend Engineer

About The Role
Join Closinglock, a fast-growing technology company, as a Mid or Senior Frontend Engineer. In this role, you will own portions of the front-end development, collaborate with product and design teams, and work with other skilled front-end engineers to create a cohesive customer experience. You will also consult on feature requests and future product development, and work directly with engineering leadership to establish a maintainable and elegant code base. - Possession of strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals, with a focus on building consumer-facing front-end single-page applications.
- Experience with Vue.js (preferably including Vue 3) and modern front-end best practices, patterns, and technologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Product and Design teams to iterate on designs and user experience flows.
- Experience with Pinia or an equivalent front-end state management tool
- Demonstrated success in modernizing legacy applications with current front-end best practices, patterns, and technologies
- 3+/5+ years of experience with custom web application development
- Ability to consider alternative approaches and select a best fit for a given situation
- Self-directed with a strong bias towards action and thrives in an ambiguous environment that is ripe for disruption
- Familiar with JS build tools such as npm and vite
- 3+/5+ years of experience with Vue.js (preferably including Vue 3 and modern Vue paradigms). Other framework experience considered if you’re comfortable building reactive UIs and interested in becoming fluent in Vue
- Comfort with version control systems such as git
- Experience with front-end testing (we use Vitest and Vue Testing Library)
- Strong HTML, CSS, and JS fundamentals
- A creative and efficient problem solver who isn’t stopped when the way forward isn’t always paved
- Experience building consumer-facing front-end single page apps
- Ability to work well with the Product team to iterate on designs and user experience flows
- You are passionate and curious about your craft, excited to work in an energetic environment, and mindful of the balance between detail and delivery
- Author reusable, testable code that drives efficiency by building with the experience of both the end user and your teammates in mind
- Attention to detail and an understanding of what makes a great user experience
- Open to mentorship opportunities
- A qualified candidate should have experience as a front-end software engineer developing sleek, highly functional, consumer-facing web apps, and want to have a meaningful impact at an early-stage technology company
- Bonus points for familiarity with PHP, Laravel, jQuery, or working in a mixed SPA/MPA codebase
- Deep familiarity with Vue or another modern, reactive front-end library
- Discipline for using AI as an assistant, not a replacement, for human-authored and human-understood code
