Software Engineer (Edge)

About The Role

As a Software Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain features across Edge's product surfaces, collaborate with various teams, and contribute to technical and architecture decisions. - Design, build, and maintain features across Edge's product surfaces, such as the Tulip Player application, device drivers, and cloud microservices.
- Partner with product, design, and QA to scope and ship features end-to-end, from prototype to production.
- Debug and resolve customer-facing issues surfaced in real manufacturing environments.
- You care about the details that make software feel fast and dependable

- You have a product mindset and empathy for the end user — the operators and admins who rely on Edge every day
- You love a good challenge and enjoy diving into unfamiliar corners of a large tech stack

- Works well both as an individual and as part of a team
- Proficiency in unit testing, integration testing, and debugging practices
- Familiarity with API design and integration (RESTful services)
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript is required
- 2-5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally building production web applications
- Familiarity with React, React Native/Expo (mobile) and/or Electron (desktop) app development
- Experience with hardware/device integrations
- Experience with MacOS and Windows platform development
- Knowledge of Kubernetes/container orchestration and microservices deployment
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies
- Comfortable using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or equivalent) to land production PRs
