About The Role

Join Hadrian's Factory Automation division as a Backend Tech Lead. In this role, you will lead software and robotics engineers in the development of robotic software and automated cell control code for high-precision manufacturing. You will collaborate with engineers and operations to conceptualize, deploy, and upgrade manufacturing cells, ensuring seamless software integration. Additionally, you will drive technical decision-making processes, develop standards and documentation for scalable automation deployment, and build data logging pipelines for connected devices.

  • Lead the development of robotic software and automated cell control code for high-precision manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with engineers and operations to conceptualize, deploy, and upgrade manufacturing cells, ensuring seamless software integration.
  • Drive technical decision-making processes, set engineering direction, and build a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions with incomplete information and deliver complex systems on schedule
  • Experience with creating, testing, and debugging industrial robot programs
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, physics, or computer science discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing software to interface with physical systems in a field such as manufacturing, industrial automation, or 3D printing
  • 10+ years of full stack software engineering experience. Deep experience architecting and operating fault-tolerant, distributed, autonomous systems
  • Expertise in secure software practices, cybersecurity for IoT devices, and regulatory compliance
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
