Infrastructure Engineer

Join our team as an Infrastructure Engineer, where you'll define the technical direction for our infrastructure platform powering automated manufacturing across multiple factory sites. You'll shape the architecture spanning cloud, edge, and factory-floor systems, and move fluidly between strategy and implementation. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing cloud infrastructure on AWS, building and managing Kubernetes clusters, developing reusable infrastructure patterns, architecting networking, implementing monitoring and observability, and driving build-vs-buy decisions. You'll also establish engineering standards and best practices, represent infrastructure in cross-functional architecture reviews, and participate in on-call rotation and incident response.

• This role demands someone who has simplified complex systems at org scale, built platforms that engineers love to use, and grown the people around them. Not just shipped impressive infrastructure, but made everyone else's infrastructure better too
• Production Kubernetes experience including troubleshooting, scaling, and multi-cluster patterns
• Strong security instincts: threat modeling, least privilege, compliance fundamentals
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Comfortable mentoring teammates and sharing knowledge
• Track record of building reusable patterns that other engineers adopt
• Deep Terraform/IaC skills with module development and testing experience
• Demonstrated ability in infrastructure design across cloud, containers, and networking
• 8+ years in infrastructure or platform engineering
• Can go from architecture whiteboard to production implementation, and has done it repeatedly
• History of reducing complexity, not just adding capability
• Deep hands-on experience with Terraform module architecture and testing
• Background building CI/CD platforms, not just pipelines
• Experience with edge or IoT infrastructure in manufacturing, defense, or robotics
• Track record of reducing infrastructure complexity, not just adding to it
• History of building patterns that other teams adopted organically
