Mechanical Engineer (Factory Automation)

Join Hadrian's Factory Automation division as a Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will design, develop, and commission automated robotic cells for high-precision manufacturing. You will collaborate with hardware, software, and robotics engineers to bring advanced production systems from concept to operation. • Lead the mechanical design for advanced automated manufacturing robotic cells, including end effector design, fixturing and cell layouts.
• Install, commission and debug automation systems on the production floor. Diagnose and resolve mechanical system and hardware issues.
• Develop standards, documentation, and procedures for scalable automation deployment.
• Strong skills performing risk assessments in accordance with safety standards such as ISO 13849 or ANSI B11
• Strong skills in integrating sensors and pneumatic and mechanical components
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
• Experience designing and commissioning layouts and floor plans for robotic cells
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems using diagnostic tools and lead structured root cause analysis
• Experience with material selection, finite element analysis, and payload analysis for heavy (500 kg) robotic applications
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, physics or related discipline
• Experience designing and commissioning end of arm tooling and fixturing for industrial robotic applications
