About The Role
Join Hadrian's Factory Automation division as a Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will design, develop, and commission automated robotic cells for high-precision manufacturing. You will collaborate with hardware, software, and robotics engineers to bring advanced production systems from concept to operation. Key responsibilities include leading mechanical design, installing and debugging automation systems, and developing standards for scalable automation deployment. - Lead the mechanical design for advanced automated manufacturing robotic cells, including end effector design, fixturing and cell layouts.
- Install, commission and debug automation systems on the production floor. Diagnose and resolve mechanical system and hardware issues.
- Develop standards, documentation, and procedures for scalable automation deployment.
- Strong skills performing risk assessments in accordance with safety standards such as ISO 13849 or ANSI B11
- Strong skills in integrating sensors and pneumatic and mechanical components
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Experience designing and commissioning layouts and floor plans for robotic cells
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems using diagnostic tools and lead structured root cause analysis
- Experience with material selection, finite element analysis, and payload analysis for heavy (500 kg) robotic applications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, physics or related discipline
- Experience designing and commissioning end of arm tooling and fixturing for industrial robotic applications
