General Counsel

Join Iterative Health as the General Counsel, a foundational leader and strategic partner to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors. You will be responsible for shaping business strategy, driving growth, and managing risk and compliance. This role is ideal for someone looking to build and scale a legal function in a fast-growing company.

• Act as a trusted advisor to the Company and Board on corporate governance, fiduciary responsibilities, and existential risks.
• Establish scalable legal systems, playbooks, and templates that improve contracting efficiency and support high-growth operations.
• Lead legal structuring and due diligence for M&A, debt and equity financing, and IPO preparedness, including SEC reporting readiness.
• 15+ years of progressive legal experience, ideally combining top-tier law firm training with senior in-house leadership; prior GC roles at a fast-growing or public company preferred
• Proven ability to execute and accelerate M&A processes
• A track record of hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing legal teams
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and act as a collaborative partner to CTO, COO, HR, IT, and Sales rather than a roadblock
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; active membership in at least one U.S. state bar in good standing
• Deep experience within the healthcare ecosystem, with direct exposure to clinical trials and/or contracting with pharma and biotech companies
• Exceptional financial literacy with the ability to connect financial data to legal risk and strategic decision-making
• Emotional intelligence and executive presence to navigate high-stakes, ambiguous environments
• A pragmatic approach to risk — bias toward action, sound judgment with incomplete information, and an understanding of the risk profile required to scale a high-growth company
• Background working with private equity or venture-backed high-growth companies
• Experience supporting a company through an IPO or public company SEC reporting obligations
• Familiarity with clinical research regulations including GCP, FDA, and HIPAA/HITECH
• Prior experience as General Counsel or Deputy GC at a healthcare technology, clinical research, or life sciences company
