As a Senior Second Charge Mortgage Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in shaping the underwriting process and influencing policy application. You will independently assess and underwrite both standard and complex second charge mortgage applications, review credit data, affordability, income, and property security, and make fair, informed, and defensible decisions. You will also have opportunities to improve processes, mentor less experienced team members, and contribute to the development of the underwriting function.

• Independently assess and underwrite both standard and complex second charge mortgage applications in line with credit policy and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of underwriting policies, processes, and procedures, and mentor less experienced team members.
• Review escalated cases, provide guidance, and ensure consistent application of credit rules across the team.
