Mechanical Engineer (Fluid Systems, 2026 New Graduate)

Join Radiant, a pioneering company in the nuclear energy sector. As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in fluid systems, you will play a crucial role in the development of the first new commercial reactor design in over 50 years. Your responsibilities will include end-to-end engineering of fluid systems, thermal and fluids analysis, trade studies, manufacturing/assembly instructions, and supplier development. You will work in a collaborative environment with a focus on innovation and sustainability.

• Assumer la responsabilité de l'ingénierie de bout en bout des systèmes et composants fluides, y compris les compresseurs, les vannes et les échangeurs de chaleur.
• Effectuer des analyses thermiques et fluides pour orienter les décisions de conception, vérifier les performances du système et garantir l'intégrité structurelle.
• Développer et exécuter des instructions de fabrication/assemblage et des plans de test, et gérer un Bill-Of-Materials (BOM).
• Proficient knowledge in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
• Experience in designing, building, and testing fluids systems
• Experience with fluid system architecture design
• Proficient knowledge of heat exchanger design and analysis methods
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical, Materials, Aeronautical, Civil or Structural Engineering
• Knowledge of thermodynamic power cycles
• Prior experience with fluid system modeling via Matlab/Python
• Experienced in design for manufacturability and ramping up hardware build in a production environment
• Experienced in designing and operating test stands
• Takes extreme ownership of work and a high degree of responsibility
• Excellent communication across multidisciplinary teams
• Prior nuclear experience in not required for this role
