About The Role

Join Radiant, a leading company in the energy sector, as a Media Relations Director. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing Radiant's external media presence, building relationships with podcasters, journalists, and newsletter writers. You will also coordinate investor amplification during milestone announcements and support executive communications. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in media relations, communications, or PR, with a strong understanding of the new media landscape and existing relationships with journalists and media creators.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with podcasters, journalists, and newsletter writers to enhance Radiant's media presence.
  • Coordinate and execute media coverage strategies, including podcast bookings, investor amplification, and executive communications.
  • Monitor the media landscape, track media metrics, and report on coverage volume, sentiment, and share of voice compared to competitors.
  • Demonstrated success booking executives on broadcast and top-tier podcasts and securing feature coverage from top-tier publications
  • Understanding of the new media landscape—podcasts, newsletters, social platforms—and how influence flows through and across these channels
  • Existing relationships with journalists, podcasters, or media gatekeepers (or proven ability to build them)
  • Ability to work across time zones and accommodate media schedules
  • Experience preparing spokespeople for high-stakes media appearances
  • 8+ years in media relations, communications, or PR—ideally in technology, energy, aerospace, or defense
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Existing relationships with business, defense, energy, or technology podcasters and media creators
  • Prior work with defense technology companies
  • Experience with nuclear energy communications and the unique sensitivities involved
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to accomplish our mission
  • Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ
