About The Role
Join Radiant, a company focused on revolutionizing the aerospace and defense industry. As the Senior Manager of Enterprise Data, you will lead the technical direction of our internal data infrastructure, executive analytics, and AI capabilities. This player-coach role involves setting the architecture for our data platform, owning the AI strategy, and mentoring engineers. You will also interface with the Software Engineering team and navigate security requirements. This position is based in El Segundo, CA, and requires a deep understanding of the AI landscape, data platform architecture experience, and strong technical leadership skills.
- Definir la arquitectura de nuestra plataforma de datos (Databricks, Fivetran, dbt) y las herramientas de IA; tomar decisiones sobre la construcción o compra.
- Evaluar y seleccionar plataformas de IA (chatbot, búsqueda empresarial, herramientas especializadas) que cumplan con los requisitos de seguridad; liderar la evaluación de RAG en H2.
- Coordinar con el equipo de Ingeniería de Software sobre la infraestructura compartida de Databricks; garantizar que las cargas de trabajo operativas y de ingeniería coexistan.
- Deep understanding of the AI landscape—you can evaluate vendor tools, understand RAG architectures, and advise on build-vs-buy tradeoffs
- Data platform architecture experience—you've designed and built systems on Databricks, Snowflake, or similar
- Hands-on ability—you're a player-coach who can write code when needed, not just draw diagrams
- Strong technical leadership—you can set direction, mentor engineers, and interface effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- 7+ years of software or data engineering experience, including hands-on AI/ML work
- Additional Requirements:
- Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ
- This position requires the ability to work in the United States and eligibility for access to export-controlled information under ITAR/EAR
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to accomplish our mission
- Background in hardware, aerospace, or defense—you understand manufacturing data, supply chain systems, and the complexity of physical product development
- Experience shipping AI products or building AI capabilities at a company (not just research)
- Experience with data integration tools (Fivetran, Airbyte, dbt)
- Experience in regulated environments (SOC 2, FedRAMP, ITAR)
- Familiarity with BI/analytics tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Databricks dashboards)
