As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will work closely with design engineers to innovate production methods for complex mechanisms and structures. You will be responsible for the manufacturing and inspection process for critical components and assemblies, ensuring reliability, safety, quality, and delivery.   • Collaborate with design engineers to innovate production methods for complex mechanisms and structures.
  • Develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes to meet design and business requirements.
  • Manage manufacturing bill-of-materials (mBOM) for components and assemblies, and identify and develop appropriate suppliers for component sourcing.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in mechanical, manufacturing, or other related engineering discipline
  • 4+ years of experience with manufacturing of mechanical products in a production environment, preferably in high-tech or energy sectors
  • Experience with custom machine design; electromechanical systems, motors, actuators, linear rails, bearings, lifting/rigging, etc
  • Experience with interpreting engineering drawings and models, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with design and operations teams
  • Experience with non-destructive testing/non-destructive evaluation (e.g. fluorescent penetrant inspection, radiography, eddy current)
  • Experience with machining and ancillary operations such as milling, turning, grinding, EDM of materials
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in mechanical, manufacturing, or other related engineering discipline
  • Experience with design of multi-component assemblies in CAD (NX or similar)
  • Experience with inspection systems including manual gauges and coordinate-measuring machine (CMM)
  • This position involves access to technology that is subject to U.S. export controls. Any job offer made will be contingent upon the applicant’s capacity to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to accomplish our mission
